Deep inside Karnataka in India, in the village of Halebidu is an architectural marvel of a temple. Majestic in its isolation, the walls are adorned with fabulous sculptures that point to the artistry of an age long past.

The temple was built in 12th century, and was never finished. It has survived mindless destruction by invader Malik Kafur in the 14th century, not unlike the kind of terrorist attacks that are plaguing India even to this day. But the invaders have disappeared, the temple has survived.

May be there is hope in all this, that the good will survive eventually.
