A temple in reflection
Looking out
Deep, the way down
Alone with mobile
Doorway to nowhere
A time for siesta
Nandi Hills is part of small range of hills to the south of Bangalore, India. Great
place for a daytrip, it remains immensely popular for those with the outdoor bug.
Nandi Hills is a pretty place, made famous by the eighteenth century local king Tippu Sultan, who had his fort there. Legend has it that the price of treason to Tippu was to be pushed off a shear cliff, famously known as "Tippu's drop", on the hill. Another interesting fact about Tippu: his was one of the first armies to have use rockets in warfare.
There is also a beautiful little temple, dedicated to Lord Bhoganandishwera, at the base of the hill, where some of the pictures here were taken.
