Ooty (or, for the brave-heart, Udagamandalam, as it is otherwise known) is pretty, beyond words. Its a hill resort in Southern India, and has always been a place to escape to, from the heat and dust of the Indian plains. Of course, with tourists come tourism, and no place ever remains the same. So is for Ooty.
But, you can avoid the crowds if you look out for the less travelled parts. Ooty still remains beautiful, even if in parts.
