The statue of Lord Gomateshwara

The hand of a giant

At the feet of the lord

Gateway to the sky

Walls

Watching you, watching me

Standing tall

A place with a view

Stairway to heaven

Reaching for the top
Shravanabelagola is a place for Jain pilgrimage, couple of hours drive away from
Bangalore, India.
There is a massive monolithic statue of Lord Gomateshwara Bahubali there, built in
10th century AD.
The statue is thousand years old, and is considered to be the world's tallest monolithic
stone statue (at 57 ft).
Its a magnificent setting at the top of the Vindhyagiri hill,
with only the open sky all around.
Its lonely out there for the Lord, so more of you should visit him.
